docufilm (plural docufilms) A film or video production, presenting personal, social, political or historical subject matter in a factually accurate and informative or entertaining manner that often consists of archival footage and/or interviews supported by narration.

What makes a docuseries a powerful filmmaking genre is its ability to document real-life stories over a period of time. For every docuseries, there needs to be an interesting and important topic to cover.

The documentary genre has radically evolved in recent years and so it's not a surprise that there may be some confusion about "what exactly is a documentary!". A documentary is a broad term to describe a non-fiction movie that in some way "documents" or captures reality.
